If not removed through exercising, this fat can cause severe health problems because the body needs less fat in normal conditions. Fat is essential when food is not readily available, and the body needs much food energy, but these days, food is available on the doorsteps. So fat is not of much need. So it gets accumulated in the body and causes different problems like high blood pressure and heart attacks.

So let's understand the body mass index from this perspective, a person has less muscle mass but high-fat mass, and he measures his BMI value. It shows that his BMI value is average and healthy, but his muscle mass is less than the fat mass, which should not be the case in normal conditions. So the person should not take the words of the BMI chart and consult a health official to increase his muscle mass for a healthy body.

On the other side, a bodybuilder has much higher muscle mass than his fat mass. Still, when he goes to measure the BMI value, it shows that he is overweight due to much muscle mass, but actually, his muscle mass is good for his body because he is a bodybuilder and needs the energy to put weight on his back.

So a person should not believe in his BMI value without undertaking different factors and how they affect the body and health. That is why health professionals use many other methods to measure body fat. Now, different machines are also available to measure the exact level of fat to muscle ratio in the body.
